Ward Easter Egg Hunt

Our ward had an Easter breakfast and egg hunt on Saturday. The bishopric plus several helpers cooked us pancakes, scrambled eggs, and sausage--yum. Then the kids got to hunt for Easter eggs. They cleverly set up several different classrooms of the church building with eggs hidden so that each room had a different age group of kids hunting. Andrew was, of course, in the room for 1 and 2 year-olds. As you can see in the photos, the eggs in that room were pretty easy to find. Some were out in plane sight on the floor, some were on the chalk-holder, and some were behind or under objects on the floor. The 1 and 2 year-olds didn't really get the concept of finding an egg, putting it in their basket, and then finding another one, but that's ok. Andrew had fun picking up an egg, then dropping it on the floor to pick up another one, putting an egg in his basket, then dumping the all the eggs out of his basket. With my help he was finally able to pick up his allotted 5 eggs. I look forward to more Easter egg hunts in the years to come when Andrew is older.
